More about the Co-Facilitator Carolyn Hennecy:

Carolyn s. Hennecy is the author of ORANGE BLOSSOM WISHES: Child Molested, Woman Abused- her Victorious Journey to Freedom. She is currently working on her second book which shares the continuation of her journey, how advancing in her freedom has led to her work as an advocate, support and empowerment coach, as well as pastoral counselor for victims and struggling survivors of abuse and assault. She is a weekly blogger for Everyday Health on the topic of Emotional Wellbeing, in addition to generation a successful blog on her website regarding domestic.intimate partner violence, child abuse/molestation and sexual assault. Carolyn is a past-Director of the Polk County Writers Group, where she gained extensive knowledge and experience both as a writer and editor. In April 2010, Ms. Hennecy was sleceted as one in five women in the nation to represent Verizon as a VOICES member and domestic violence survivor at the Annual International Family Justice Alliance Conference. She participated as part of a panel dicussing long-term support for domestic violence victims and survivors. Carolyn is also a member of the Sexual Violence Task Force of Tampa Bay Speakers Bureau. Scheduled to air on Friday, October 14 at 8:00 p.m., on WFTS, Carolyn will be featured on the Tampa Bay ABC affiliate's Emmy award winning primetime special, "Taking Action Against Domestic Violence." Whether through her writing or speaking engagements, Ms. Hennecy uses personal adversities, peppered with human and southern flavor, to restore hope, faith and joy for others, while helping them find their own healing and self-empowerment.
